Senior Full Stack Engineer — TypeScript / Node

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong TypeScript and Node depth to join a collaborative, fully remote squad. This is a hands-on role where you'll own features end to end, from the API down to a polished, responsive interface, while partnering with an Engineering Lead who bridges architecture decisions.

We value people who are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating directly with product, design, and client stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and deliver features across the API and UI of a TypeScript-based web product.

• Write clean, high-quality, maintainable code using TypeScript, Node, Koa, and Knex (ORM).

• Build responsive, polished interfaces with React, Vite, and Tailwind CSS.

• Maintain strong test coverage using Jest and Vitest.

• Integrate with APIs and external platforms, ensuring reliable, well-structured connections.

• Collaborate with the Engineering Lead and Data Engineer on architecture and data decisions involving PostgreSQL.

• Partner with product and design to turn requirements into well-built solutions.

• Apply performance, reliability, and security best practices throughout the stack.

• Communicate clearly with stakeholders across product, design, and client teams.

What we're looking for

• Strong, proven experience with TypeScript and Node in production environments.

• Solid front-end experience with React and modern tooling (Vite, Tailwind CSS).

• Hands-on experience with API frameworks such as Koa (or similar) and ORMs like Knex.

• Strong API integration experience.

• Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL.

• AWS proficiency.

• Comfortable writing and maintaining automated tests (Jest, Vitest).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and make thoughtful technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience in the education sector, or in other highly regulated or rules-heavy domains (e.g., compliance, finance, healthcare, govtech).

• A strong eye for quality, UX, and performance.
