Fullstack Developer - Focus on Code Review

We're looking for a Code Reviewer to safeguard the quality, consistency, and reliability of our web-based products. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role focused on reviewing code across multiple applications, enforcing best practices, and helping engineering teams ship clean, scalable, and maintainable software. You'll act as a technical gatekeeper and mentor, ensuring every pull request meets high standards before it reaches production.

We're looking for someone rigorous, communicative, and comfortable giving constructive feedback across teams while collaborating with developers, product, and design.

What you'll do

• Review pull requests across multiple web applications, ensuring code quality, readability, and maintainability

• Enforce coding standards and architectural consistency using Node.js, React, and TypeScript

• Review database changes and queries built on PostgreSQL, flagging performance and design issues

• Evaluate cloud-related code and infrastructure changes on AWS (ECS, EKS, S3, RDS)

• Identify bugs, security risks, and performance bottlenecks before they reach production

• Provide clear, actionable, and respectful feedback that helps developers grow

• Ensure performance, reliability, and security best practices are applied throughout the stack

• Collaborate with tech leads and developers to improve processes, tooling, and code review workflows

• Help define and document coding guidelines and review checklists

What we're looking for

• Strong experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript

• Proven experience reviewing code and mentoring developers

• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and SQL performance optimization

• Solid experience with applications deployed on AWS (ECS, EKS, S3, RDS)

• Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail

• Clear, effective communication and the ability to give constructive feedback

• Ability to work independently and make thoughtful technical judgments

Nice to have

• Experience integrating third-party tools and identity providers (SSO, Okta, etc.)

• Experience in the education technology sector or other large-scale, highly regulated enviroments

• Strong eye for quality, UX, and performance
